Virtual Infosec Africa launches AI-Powered cybersecurity, digital forensic services – Nsemkeka

Virtual Infosec Africa has officially launched a transformative suite of AI-driven managed security and digital forensic services, signaling a major milestone in Africa’s ongoing efforts to build a resilient digital future.

The event, held in Accra, brought together industry stakeholders, cybersecurity experts, and traditional leaders, all underscoring the urgent need to fortify digital security across the continent.

The Head of Security Operations at Virtual Infosec Africa, Norvisi Addo, emphasized the significance of the company’s latest innovation, stating that the company is geared towards data protection and privacy.

“What we have done is to incorporate AI into all our operations, so being it investigations, detection or monitoring, we have inculcated AI into all our service chain. And the good thing about our service is that we have privacy in mind. So our process or our solution is not open to the public unlike other AI solutions are. Even though we know AI has a lot of data leakages, ours is custom built just for our security operations center. And we believe that companies can benefit greatly from it.

A key moment during the launch came from Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III, the Omanhene of New Juaben, who urged the government to respond more decisively to rising digital threats.

“These services come at a time when our country and continent must invest in digital protection with the same seriousness, we invest in physical infrastructure. Digital forensics in particular plays a vital role in upholding accountability and justice. It enables investigators to uncover truth, support law enforcement and ensure that wrongdoers are held accountable”.

Virtual Infosec Africa’s new services aim to support businesses and institutions in combating cybercrime, responding to incidents more effectively, and complying with global data protection standards.
