Sam George’s Lawyers Order P.K Sarpong to Retract False Allegations that Sam George Received a Lexus Car Gift – GhArticles.com
Legal representatives of Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology & Innovations, have issued a formal cease and desist letter to political commentator P.K. Sarpong (a.k.a. Whispers) over what they describe as a false and defamatory publication.
The letter, dated May 20, 2025, and authored by Israel Ackah Esq., Managing Partner at Korsah & Ackah @ Law, asserts that Mr. Sarpong falsely alleged on Facebook that Hon. Sam George received a Lexus vehicle as a gift. The post purportedly insinuated that the gift violated a directive from former President John Dramani Mahama barring ministers from accepting such offers.
The lawyers categorically refuted the claim, calling it “devoid of truth” and intended to tarnish the Minister’s reputation. They described the allegation as “defamatory and injurious” and demanded that Mr. Sarpong immediately cease making any further such claims.
The legal team outlined three specific actions to be completed by May 27, 2025:
1. Immediate removal of the alleged false post from Mr. Sarpong’s Facebook page.
2. A public retraction of the statement in the same manner and to the same audience as the original post.
3. An unqualified apology to Hon. Sam George.
The letter warned that failure to comply would result in legal action, including a possible defamation suit, without further notice.
