Karim Zito anticipates tough test against Medeama in final home game – Nsemkeka

Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has acknowledged the strength of Medeama SC’s squad, admitting that Sunday’s clash at the Baba Yara Stadium will be a tough encounter.

Kotoko will host Ibrahim Tanko’s Mauve and Yellow on Sunday, May 30, 2025, in what will be their final home fixture of the season.

With just two games remaining, Kotoko, currently third on the league table with 55 points, are chasing a crucial win to keep their title hopes alive, while hoping that Nations FC (60 points) and Bibiani Gold Stars (57 points) drop points.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Zito expressed his respect for the opposition and the challenge they pose.

“They will come all out,” he said’’. “I know Medeama SC, and I know the quality they have. The moment doesn’t favour them, but I know they have good players with good sense of judgement.

“When it comes to consistency, Medeama also stands tall. They try to keep the ball, so when you see them playing, you will enjoy them, which tells you that the match will be very competitive.”

Kotoko are aiming for all three points to set up a thrilling final round of matches in the race for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
