Veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo has revealed that music was his true passion, and he never initially aspired to become an actor.
In a candid interview on THE LIZ SHOW hosted by Elizabeth Essuman, the respected actor shared that growing up, everyone expected him to become a musician due to his exceptional talent.
Kofi Adjorlolo shared his impressive musical roots, starting with trumpet lessons from age 8. He took his passion further, performing alongside music legends Gyedu Blay Ambolley and Sir Victor Uwaifo.
“I love music so much that as of 8 years old, I could play the trumpet so well,” Kofi disclosed. He even had the opportunity to play with legendary musicians like Gyedu Blay Ambolley and Sir Victor Uwaifo.
Despite his successful acting career, Kofi expressed concerns about the challenges faced by actors in Ghana, citing the lack of support and insurance for industry professionals. He revealed that he wouldn’t encourage his children to pursue acting due to the current state of the industry.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t encourage my children to go into acting. The current situation in Ghana isn’t encouraging, attractive, or enabling for young ones to thrive in this field. Do we even have insurance to back our actors and actresses?” he stated.
