Ghana Music Festival announces new dates and expanded US Tour

Organisers of the Ghana Music Festival have announced new dates and venues for this year’s edition, expanding the highly anticipated celebration of Ghanaian music and culture across multiple cities in the United States.

Originally scheduled for May 30 to June 1, the festival will now begin in Worcester, Massachusetts, on August 15 and 16, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, from August 22 to 24.

The opening events in Worcester will take place at Quinsigamond Community College and will feature music workshops, cultural showcases, and live performances from acclaimed Ghanaian troupes.

From there, the festival will continue at the Georgia Tech University’s Walter G. Ehmer Theater in Atlanta, where a packed schedule of forums, highlife performances, and cultural exhibitions will run from August 22 to 23. The festival will then conclude with a grand finale music concert on August 24 at EHALL South, located at 5382 Jonesboro Road in Lake City, Georgia.

In addition to the main events in Worcester and Atlanta, the festival will also tour eight more venues across the United States. Specific dates and locations for these additional stops are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
