Former President John Mahama has shared a photo to commemorate his days as a student at the Ghana Secondary School (Ghanasco) in Tamale.
He shared the photo on his Instagram and Facebook pages to tell his followers his high school story and how far he has come as a politician.
Mahama as a learned communicator and son of a wealthy Gonja politician was quite brilliant during his days at Ghanasco. Mahama is seen in the company of two other students in the “bushes” somewhere behind the school”.
Born on November 29, 1958, Mahama attended Accra Newtown Experimental School (ANT1) for his primary education before transferring to Achimota Primary School for boarding. He finished his secondary education at Ghana Secondary School (Tamale, Northern region).
He continued his education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history in 1981 and a postgraduate diploma in communication studies in 1986.
He was a member of Commonwealth Hall as a student (Legon). He also studied social psychology at the Institute of Social Sciences in Moscow, Soviet Union, where he earned a postgraduate degree in 1988.
