Security forces in Tripoli, Libya, have arrested a woman on suspicion of poisoning her former lover to death.

Detectives discovered that the woman had used a fake ID to contact her ex-boyfriend on Facebook and pretended to be a professional doctor because she knew he had colon disease.

Following several conversations, she offered to request that a taxi driver send him a syrup to relieve his colon pain.

The victim agreed and thanked her for her attention, but the woman combined the syrup with a lethal insecticide, resulting in his death.

The woman admitted that she wanted vengeance on her ex-boyfriend because he dumped her.
