Joshua Ajayi Oluwatobiloba, an ex-convict has been rearrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) for crimes including impersonation and cyberfraud.
Last year June, Joshua was said to have been sentenced for a similar crime by the Kwara State High Court. He was made to spend three months in prison.
As a student at the University of Ilorin, he scammed three fellow students who were seeking accommodation. On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, he was arrested again by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and brought before the same court.
The serial fraudster is accused of impersonating the University of Ilorin’s Dean of Student Affairs in order to defraud naive students looking to pay school fees and obtain hostel accommodations.
To carry out his fraud, he purported to be Dr. Efuntayo Oluwatobi, a lecturer in the university’s Chemistry Department.
Joshua pleaded guilty to all the charges leveled against him by the court and was remanded into police custody by Justice Mahmud Abdulgafar. He will be reappearing before the court on November 25 to review the facts of the case and possibly be sentenced.
In other news, in just five days after premiering his latest music video on the video-sharing platform, YouTube, “Mon Bebe” by the Lynx Entertainment signee, Dennis Nana Dwamena, well known as Kidi has hit over 1 million views on the platform.
“Mon Bebe” happens to be one of the songs on Kidi’s “Golden Boy” album which he released a few months ago. Following the enormous success of the album with songs like “Touch It” topping charts on the net, Kidi recently released another music video for his “Mon Bebe” song.
