Empress Gifty Sues Nana Agradaa For GHS 20 Million Over Defamatory Comments – Nsemkeka.com

Ghanaian gospel artiste Empress Gifty has taken legal action against social media personality and evangelist Nana Agradaa, filing a defamation lawsuit that seeks a staggering GHS20 million in damages.

The writ, filed at the Tema High Court by her legal representative, Sam Kyere Esq., accuses Agradaa, known privately as Patricia Asiedua, of making slanderous and libelous statements that tarnished the singer’s image.

The legal battle stems from a recent social media outburst by Agradaa, in which she allegedly hurled insults at Empress Gifty while launching a verbal attack on her husband, Hopeson Adorye. The tirade followed comments Adorye made in connection with a controversial cash gift issue involving Agradaa and politician Sammy Gyamfi.

In response, Agradaa released multiple videos in which she not only dismissed the criticism but further lambasted both Empress Gifty and her husband with harsh and offensive language.

According to the Statement of Claim, the gospel musician is requesting the court to:

a) The sum of Twenty Million Ghana Cedis (GHS20,000,000.00) for damages for slander and libel of Plaintiff by the Defendant.

b) An order of perpetual injunction to restrain the Defendant, her servants, agents, privies, assigns howsoever from publication of such words or any of them or similar words to that effect.

c) An order for the Defendant to pull down all the videos, audios in which she spoke the words defamatory of the Plaintiff from all her social media handles.

d) Cost, including lawyer’s professional fees.

While Agradaa has not issued an official response, her online demeanor remains combative, suggesting she’s prepared to defend herself in the public arena—even as the matter moves into a courtroom.
