Do you know that 60% of Africa’s population is under the age of 25? Why are only 1.5% of parliamentarians in Africa under 30 and only 15.8% under 40 ? Young people are rarely brought in from the onset of decision making processes… the trend goes beyond government; labour unions and committees are also becoming less relevant for young people. How do we ensure the implementation of the value “nothing about us, without us” across all levels and sectors of our communities and countries ? Are young people ready for the task ? As one of Ghana’s representatives today at the 5th plenary session of the ongoing 8th Africa students and youth summit under the high patronage of of his majesty King Mohammed VI, I’ll be discussing with a very distinguished panel, the theme: BRINGING YOUNG PEOPLE TO THE TABLE: WHY YOUNG PEOPLE FEEL LEFT OUT- VOICES OF THE YOUTH, so you’re welcome to share your thoughts and comments with me . #ASYS2019 #ASYSRabat
