BLACK SHERIF EARNS NOMINATION FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT AT 2025 BET AWARDS – Nsemkeka

Ghanaian Superstar Black Sherif has been nominated for the Best International Act at the 2025 BET Awards.

The fast-rising rapper, known for his raw storytelling and genre-blending sound, stands tall as Ghana’s sole representative at this year’s ceremony. His nomination comes off the back of his widely acclaimed sophomore album, Iron Boy, which continues to garner attention on the global stage.

Black Sherif will be competing against a strong field of international stars including Nigeria’s Ayra Starr and Rema, South Africa’s Tyla, Brazil’s Gabrielly and MC Luanna, France’s Joé Dwèt Filé and SDM, the UK’s Basky and Ezra Collective, and Uncle Waffles from Swaziland.

This marks another significant career highlight for the 22-year-old artist, who has steadily climbed the global charts with hits like Second Sermon, Kwaku The Traveller, and most recently, tracks from Iron Boy.

The Best New International Act category also boasts exciting talent, including Abigail Chams (Tanzania), Shallipopi (Nigeria), Dlala Thukzin (South Africa), and KWN (UK).

The 2025 BET Awards will celebrate outstanding achievements in Black entertainment and culture and will air live in June from Los Angeles.
