Black Queens hold final training session ahead of first Cote d’Ivoire friendly – Nsemkeka

The Black Queens of Ghana held their final training session on Thursday evening ahead of their first friendly game against Côte d’Ivoire.

The team is in Abidjan for a training camp where they will play two friendly games against Les Elephants.

The camp is part of the team’s preparations for the delayed 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be staged in Morocco.

Friday’s game will be the fourth for the Black Queens since Kim Lars Bjorkegren took over as head coach of the team, replacing Nora Hauptle.

Bjorkegren was pleased with the session, praising the team’s intensity and commitment.

“It was a good exercise, and I liked the intensity and commitment everyone exhibited today. We arrived yesterday, and this is only our first training session, but I’m impressed,” the coach said.

The game against Côte d’Ivoire is set to kick off at 19:00 GMT.
