Bibiani GoldStars eye signings to strengthen squad for next season’s Champions League – Nsemkeka
Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars have revealed their plans to strengthen their squad with signings ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League.
The season concluded on Sunday, June 8, as the Bibiani-based club thrashed already-relegated Accra Lions to clinch their maiden title, securing a spot in CAF’s inter-club competition.
Head Coach Frimpong Manso is hoping to augment the team with the intention of surpassing the preliminary stage.
“We need to add to the squad because that is another level,” Frimpong said in an interview with Globe TV.
“At every level, you need to add. We will see the kind of quality we want, whether experienced or youth. I have the draft there; we will answer all those questions as to who and who are coming.”
GoldStars will hope to replicate the performance of Medeama SC, who reached the group stages of the continental event in 2023.
