Battle of the Beasts: American Tabiti destroys Jacob Dickson to win WBO Africa Cruiserweight title – Nsemkeka
Ghana’s Jacob Dickson lost the WBC African title at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday, to America’s Andrew Tabiti.
The American secured a fourth-round knockout, after sending the Ghanaian to the canvas on three occasions.
Billed as the main fight on Legacy Rise Sports and Amir Khan Promotions’ “Battle of the Beasts”, the fight was over before it even began as Dickson struggled to compete.
Dickson’s woes began in the first round when an uppercut sent him to the canvas.

Not even the presence of the legendary Azumah Nelson, Joshua Clottey, and other boxing greats could inspire him to mount a comeback.
There was more punishment for him as Tabiti, who once trained under Floyd Mayweather senior while training at Mayweather Juniors gym, worked him with powerful body shots to open him up before connecting a flurry of punches to different parts of his head.
Any hopes of a fightback were dashed when he hit the deck again, this time after taking one power shot more than he could take.
Tabiti finished the job when he recorded another knockdown just one minute and 34 seconds into the fourth round.

Tabiti has now won 21 out of 23 professional fights in his career.
