YVONNE OKORO’S LAWYERS DEMAND RETRACTION AND APOLOGY FROM NAIJA BOSS VLOG OVER FALSE “DUMPED MANY TIMES” POST – Nsemkeka
Nigerian-Ghanaian actress Yvonne Chinyere Okoro Okereke has taken legal action against social media blog Naija Boss Vlog following the publication of a viral post falsely attributing personal statements to her about failed relationships and heartbreak.
The controversial post, published on May 15, 2025, quoted Okoro as saying, “I have been dumped many times by men,” and included a lengthy narrative about her experiences with love and heartbreak. The blog’s post, which circulated widely, claimed to quote Okoro directly and featured her image alongside the statements.
However, Okoro’s legal representatives, M&O Law Consult, issued a strongly worded demand letter to Naija Boss Vlog, labeling the publication as baseless, unfounded, and defamatory. According to the letter, Yvonne Okoro “has never made such comments, whether publicly or privately.” Her lawyers argue that the blog’s story constitutes a gross misrepresentation of Okoro’s private life and a serious violation of her reputation and public image.
The letter demands the following actions:
- Immediate and permanent removal of the false post from all associated platforms.
- A full and unreserved public apology acknowledging that the statements are false and defamatory.
- Publication of the apology on the blog and all other platforms where the defamatory content appeared.
M&O Law Consult gave Naija Boss Vlog until 6:00 PM on May 16, 2025, to comply with the demands, warning that failure to do so would result in legal action without further notice.
This legal development highlights the growing concerns over the spread of false or sensational celebrity news online and the serious reputational damage such stories can inflict.
