The newest and most exhilarating amusement park in Ghana, We-Ape offers the perfect setting for nature loving adventure seekers, families, organizations and various affinity groups to have unforgettable experiences. Situated on 3.5 acres of untouched rain forest, We-Ape features two thrilling obstacle courses, a fun Family Course suitable for both kids and adults and a Fitness Course that is essentially an aerial work-out for patrons looking for a fun physical challenge. Both courses feature an exciting array of obstacles including canopy walks, cable bikes, various net obstacles and thrilling ziplines all against some breathtaking backdrops. The Park has modern conference rooms, a café for food and refreshments and a field for team activities all nestled in the forest and offers a unique setting for activity-based organizational team-building events, inductions, training, offsite meetings and workshops, etc. We-Ape has also leveraged its pristine rainforest environment to develop an environmental experiential learning program that is offered to schools to help nurture a deep sense of respect and responsibility towards the environment for learners. To celebrate its opening, the management of the Park hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials and other entities in the tourism sector. Executive Director of the Park William Adzraku said the facility is outstanding from all similar tourist centres across the country with the eco-friendly rain forest. “We-Ape has been a passion project years in the making, we are thrilled to introduce something new, something truly world-class and something very different from anything else available in Ghana”, Mr. Adzraku added. “In a world that is rapidly urbanizing and digitizing, spaces like We-Ape become increasingly vital. They remind us of the beauty of the natural world, they provide an escape from the noise of our daily life, and most importantly, they offer opportunities for learning, recreation, and conservation. I am honored to be part of the launch today and look forward to exploring more at We-Ape. This is not just an experience, it is a movement†Said Emma Wenani, the Guest of Honour for the launch and MD of Global Media Alliance Ghana. Dr. Jones Quartey, Lecturer, University of Ghana, alumni from which have developed the environmental education programme commented “the rich naturally occurring elements on We-Ape’s forest park, plus the investment in education facilities will enable the experiential learning program to make a great impact on students that benefit from it”.
