Reflo’s, The Florence Mensah Foundation distribute sanitary pads to girls in Ashaiman, Nima and Ochiso – Nsemkeka

To mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, Reflo Company Ltd. partnered with The Florence Mensah Foundation to distribute free sanitary pads to students of Ashaiman, Nima cluster and Ochiso Basic Schools, rounding off the impactful 1000 Girls Project.

The initiative, aimed at addressing period poverty and promoting menstrual health, has seen a total of 1,000 girls supported with safe, high-quality sanitary products to help them stay in school, remain confident, and pursue their aspirations without interruption.

“Period poverty should never stand in the way of a girl’s education or future,” said Florence Mensah, Founder of The Florence Mensah Foundation.

“This campaign ensures young girls feel supported and empowered to focus on their dreams.”

Rebecca Osam, CEO of Reflo Company Ltd., reflected on the mission that drives her work:
“This Menstrual Hygiene Day, I’m reminded why I started Reflo — to ensure every girl and woman has access to reliable, safe and high-quality sanitary products. Menstrual hygiene is not a luxury. It’s a basic right.”

She added, “At Reflo, we stand for comfort, confidence and care — because no woman should have to settle for less.”

The outreach not only highlights the importance of menstrual hygiene education and access, especially in underserved communities, but also marks the successful completion of a shared vision between two organisations dedicated to empowering girls across Ghana.
